Leak Detection/Repair
A one inch leak per day in a standard 12’x24’ swimming pool will result in an annual water loss of 65,000 gallons. Not only does that cost you money on your water bill, but also increases chemical consumption.
*Evolution Pool and Spa is committed to best practices for our island community. We pledge, to the best of our ability, to accurately and swiftly resolve all water leak issues. As we firmly believe in the conservation and sustainability of our natural resources, unique archipelago, and our biodiverse habitats.

Is my pool leaking? What next...
It is typical for a pool to evaporate anywhere from 1/4” to 1/2” daily. Anything beyond this can become quite costly in many ways. Leaks can occur for a number of reasons (i.e. growth, settling, structural decline) and identifying them can sometimes be a herculean task.
We begin the process as informed as possible by starting with a series of questions relating to your pool and the surrounding environment. This information can help us focus our efforts.
Our high tech equipment ensures we pin point all areas of concern and provide expert reports for all findings. Estimates for all repairs will be discussed to resolve your pool/spa issues. This systematic process results in a more efficient, effective determination and resolution, undeniably saving you money.

Where is my pool leaking?
Pools and Spas can leak from just about anywhere. Leaks may be structural in nature or stem from plumbing, fixtures, or specialty water features.
While the process may seem tedious, each individual pool/spa requires a series of small tests in an effort to rule out small repairs first. Industry-specific dyes and hydrophones (underwater microphones) are used to determine our next steps.
Once we have confirmed that no minor issues exist, we proceed with pressure testing/leak location. Pressure tests don’t lie: if a line holds pressure, it isn’t leaking. Our process ensures minimal deck disturbance and saves on costly repairs. “X” marks the spot.

Leak repair
Some structural leaks can be “minor repairs”, which are included in any leak detection. If we have located an underground plumbing leak, we will excavate a small (generally 24”x24”) area and perform the repair. We have the knowledge and experience to repair leaks in both concrete and fiberglass pools. We provide our clients with a comprehensive report of our findings, and any repairs that were made.
